NO OVERNIGHT PARKING There is NO overnight parking on the streets from November 14 until April 14 from 2am-6am. Please do NOT park vehicles on the sidewalks. Parking on sidewalks and crosswalks is prohibited in NYS. Vehicles will be ticketed and possibly towed.
NYS Law prohibits residents from plowing snow and ice into or across the street. This action is potentially hazardous for pedestrians and motorists. Please be courteous of your neighbors when plowing or shoveling snow. Sidewalks are plowed as a courtesy to our residents. Please keep them free of debris, including trash receptacles. Sanding sidewalks is the homeowners responsibility.
In the winter months please refrain from placing trash receptacles out the night before trash pickup. When plowing at night these receptacles are not seen.
Please help keep hydrants clear of snow.
Property maintenance: lawns may not exceed 12 inches in height. While we understand that maintaining your lawn can be a challenging task, mowing grass into the road is prohibited by New York State law. Grass clippings can create unsafe conditions for motorist, especially for motorcyclists, as they can cause the road to become slippery. Additionally, clippings can clog storm drains, leading to potential flooding and other drainage issues. To help keep our community safe and in compliance with state regulations, we kindly request that you ensure your grass clippings are kept off the roadway during your lawn maintenance.
REPORTING POTHOLES Sun, rain, sleet, snow and ice are the forces of nature that can turn our increasingly crowded roadways from smooth to rough and tumble. How to stop the shake, rattle and roll created by a bumper crop of potholes every year? The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) can help you steer clear of these hazards with its year-round, toll-free hot line at 1.800.POTHOLE (1.800.768.4653) to report potholes on the state's highway systems, including the Thruway. The line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. www.dot.ny.gov/programs/pothole-rpt
